Internal communicators dedicate themselves to improving the employee experience, but in the process, are you neglecting your own?

The reality is that IC professionals often bear the weight of always being ’on’, ensuring seamless communication while juggling leadership demands, content creation and employee engagement. But internal communicators are employees too and they also deserve a healthy, balanced work life.

With the Right to Disconnect gaining momentum worldwide, it’s time to ask: how can organisations respect employee boundaries whilst still maintaining effective communication? And just as importantly, how can internal comms teams set their own limits and avoid burnout?

Join us as we explore this critical issue, backed by exclusive insights from our employee survey on out-of-hours communication. We’ll uncover what employees - and IC professionals - really think about digital fatigue and discuss practical steps to create a culture where everyone can switch off without guilt.

We’ll cover:

  • What is the Right to Disconnect? A look at legislation, global trends and how different industries are responding
  • What employees and IC teams are saying: Insights from our survey
  • IC professionals as employees: The pressure to always be ‘on’ and why internal communicators need boundaries too
  • Impact on Internal Communications: How IC teams can maintain effective messaging without contributing to digital overload
  • Cultural shifts and leadership buy-in: Encouraging leaders to set the tone for a balanced work environment
  • Practical strategies: Policies, tools and approaches to prevent communication burnout for employees and IC teams
